Pusat Perubatan Sunway Menandakan Hari Diabetes Sedunia bagi Tahun Keempat secara Berturut-turut

Pusat Perubatan Sunway (SunMed) hari ini meraikan Hari Diabetes Sedunia bagi tahun keempat berturut-turut, yang merupakan sebahagian daripada tumpuan lima tahun dalam usaha mewujudkan kesedaran diabetes. Sambutan tersebut yang bertemakan Hapuskan Diabetes, telah dirasmikan oleh Dr Balachandran Satiamurti, Pengarah Kesihatan Negeri Selangor, diiringi oleh Choo Voon Chee, Pemangku Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Pusat Perubatan Sunway dan Chua Hong Wee, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Yayasan Buah Pinggang Kebangsaan Malaysia.


Sambutan tahun ini adalah sebahagian daripada ‘Let’s Take 5’, kempen payung dilancarkan pada tahun 2012 yang bertumpu kepada salah satu daripada lima organ atau bahagian tubuh yang terjejas akibat komplikasi diabetes - otak, mata, jantung, buah pinggang dan kaki, sempena Hari Diabetes Sedunia setiap tahun. Tahun ini, kempen yang bertemakan Hapuskan Diabetes tertumpu kepada kegagalan buah pinggang berkaitan diabetes, dan melibatkan Yayasan Buah Pinggang Kebangsaan Malaysia (NKF) sebagai rakan kongsi.


Dengan meraikan Hari Diabetes Sedunia, SunMed bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesedaran, mendidik dan memberi kuasa kepada rakyat untuk mengawal diabetes. Selaras dengan matlamat antarabangsa sambutan itu, SunMed ingin menyebarkan kesedaran mengenai pencegahan dan pengurusan diabetes dan komplikasinya, termasuk berkongsi maklumat mengenai tanda-tanda amaran diabetes, menggalakkan diagnosis awal, serta menggalakkan gaya hidup sihat untuk mengurangkan risiko kencing manis jenis II.

"Pusat Perubatan Sunway percaya dalam menyumbang kepada kesihatan awam dengan meningkatkan kesedaran mengenai penyakit yang menjejaskan rakyat di mana sambutan Hari Diabetes Sedunia dan kempen sejak 2012 adalah sebahagian daripada inisiatif kami. Masih ramai pesakit kencing manis yang belum dikenal pasti di kalangan rakyat Malaysia. Dengan jumlah keseluruhan pesakit kencing manis dijangka meningkat, kita perlu meningkatkan diagnosis dan pengurusan penyakit kencing manis, serta menggalakkan langkah-langkah pencegahan untuk mengurangkan risiko penyakit ini. Sementara itu, pesakit dengan komplikasi yang berkaitan seperti kegagalan buah pinggang juga telah meningkat. Melalui kempen ‘30-Days to Happy Kidneys’ yang dilancarkan bulan lepas, kami meningkatkan kesedaran dan pada masa yang sama mengumpul dana bagi membantu NKF," kata Choo Voon Chee, Pemangku Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Pusat Perubatan Sunway.


Persekutuan Diabetes Antarabangsa menganggarkan* bahawa **3.2 juta penduduk Malaysia mempunyai diabetes dan kira-kira 50% daripada mereka masih belum dikenal pasti, dengan jumlah bilangan pesakit kencing manis dijangka meningkat sebanyak 50% lagi menjelang 2035. Ramai pesakit diabetes berakhir dengan kegagalan buah pinggang, dengan statistik menunjukkan bahawa kira-kira 60% daripada pesakit yang mengalami kegagalan buah pinggang di Malaysia turut menghidapi diabetes - salah satu daripada nisbah tertinggi di dunia. Malah, lebih 5,000 kes-kes kegagalan buah pinggang baru didiagnosis setiap tahun.

"Dengan peningkatan berterusan dalam jumlah pesakit kegagalan fungsi buah pinggang dan peningkatan dalam kos operasi, kami menghargai organisasi seperti Pusat Perubatan Sunway tampil untuk mengumpul dana untuk membantu NKF. Kami membantu lebih 1,600 pesakit setiap tahun dan membelanjakan hampir RM15 juta setahun subsidi dialisis, manakala jumlah kos operasi kira-kira RM30 juta setahun, termasuk pengoperasian 27 pusat di seluruh negara, perbelanjaan untuk program-program pendidikan awam, sumbangan kebajikan kepada pesakit miskin tegar dan anak-anak mereka, latihan profesional untuk kakitangan, pengangkutan untuk pesakit, dan penggantian peralatan. Hampir 60% daripada pesakit NKF miskin dengan pendapatan boleh guna isi rumah kurang daripada RM800 sebulan, manakala pesakit lain juga termasuk dalam kategori berpendapatan rendah," kata Chua Hong Wee, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Yayasan Buah Pinggang Kebangsaan Malaysia.


Sempena Hari Diabetes Sedunia, SunMed telah mengadakan siri pameran bergerak di sekitar Lembah Klang dan Pulau Pinang, dengan pameran bergerak utama yang diadakan di Sunway Pyramid dari 13 hingga 15 November 2015. Di pameran bergerak, orang ramai boleh mendapatkan pemeriksaan kesihatan secara percuma, bermain permainan interaktif dan menerima hadiah percuma yang menarik, serta pertandingan mewarna dan pertandingan fesyen untuk kanak-kanak dengan hadiah wang tunai dan hamper untuk dimenangi.


Di samping menandakan Hari Diabetes Sedunia, kempen SunMed yang bertemakan Hapuskan Diabetes juga terdiri daripada aktiviti yang berlaku dari bulan Oktober 2015 hingga Januari 2016, termasuk:


* Cabaran Fit2Climb, lanjutan program Kelab LEAN yang sedia ada, berfokuskan diabetes, yang merupakan satu program holistik untuk menangani obesiti di kalangan orang dewasa dan kanak-kanak melalui pemakanan sihat dan gaya hidup. Cabaran yang akan berkemuncak dengan perjalanan mendaki bukit pada bulan Januari 2016.


* Kempen ‘30-Days to Happy Kidneys’, sempena membantu NKF. Kempen ini bertujuan untuk menggalakkan amalan buah pinggang sihat dengan menyediakan kalendar 30 hari yang memaparkan aktiviti-aktiviti yang berbeza. Kempen ini bertujuan menggalakkan penyebaran berita mengenai kesihatan buah pinggang melalui pertandingan Instagram, dan mengumpul dana untuk NKF dengan membuat kad ‘pledge’ merangkap kalendar disediakan dengan derma RM11 minimum daripada orang ramai. SunMed akan menyumbang RM1 bagi setiap RM1 yang diderma oleh orang ramai, dan akan menjanakan jumlah kutipan kepada NKF.


* Hari ‘Pesakit Dialisis dan Kencing manis’ yang berkongsi maklumat mengenai kepentingan menjaga gula darah dalam kawalan walaupun ketika menjalani dialisis serta tips dan nasihat motivasi untuk pesakit dan penjaga mereka.


* Satu siri Program Pengurusan-kendiri Pendidikan Diabetes untuk pesakit kencing manis dan penjaga mereka, untuk mendidik pesakit kencing manis melalui pengetahuan, kemahiran dan keupayaan yang diperlukan diabetes dalam aspek penjagaan diri.


* Ceramah bagi pengamal umum mengenai penjagaan luka dan pengurusan. Ceramah tersebut juga akan bertepatan dengan pengumuman pemenang untuk Fit2Climb Challenge.




Pada masa yang sama, kempen mengumpul dana untuk ’30-Days to Happy Kidneys’ berjalan dari sekarang hingga 17hb Januari 2016. Sasaran Pusat Perubatan Sunway adalah untuk menerima sumbangan sebanyak RM50,000 daripada orang ramai, dan seterusnya menyalurkan sejumlah sumbangan sebanyak RM100,000 kepada NKF. Untuk mendapatkan kad ‘pledge’ merangkap kalendar, penderma boleh melawat Pusat Perubatan Sunway atau menderma melalui talian di http://www.peoplegiving.org/campaign-page?campId=174 menggunakan kredit atau debit, atau akaun Maybank2u dan CIMB Clicks. Mistake of printing makes the gift bad

This is sad to say that there's a blue line on the pink shirt that I have ordered for my sister-in-law. It's her birthday yesterday and I want this shirt to be a gift for her.

Very sad to say the blue line is so obvious and there's also a blue dot behind the pink shirt. This shirt is not cheap it cost RM39.

The ordered was make it in a website named Printcious.

Hi Sherry, sorry to heard that. The blue line may cause of the defected during our production period. But we believe it can wash off. Sorry for let your sister feel unhappy about this matter. We will take it serious and make sure no more defected on the products next time.Thanks

Kempen Kebajikan TOP & MYDIN Galakkan Kehadiran Kanak-kanak Kurang Bernasib Baik Ke Sekolah‏

Program Tanggungjawab Korporat Sosial (CSR) yang bertemakan ‘A Brighter Future with TOP and MYDIN’ atau ‘Cerahi Kehidupan Bersama TOP dan MYDIN’ dilancarkan di MYDIN Mall USJ oleh Timbalan Menteri Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat, Yang Berhormat Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun di sini pada hari ini.


Kempen ini akan menyaksikan 30 sen daripada jualan produk-produk terpilih TOP di semua cawangan MYDIN di seluruh negara bermula 12 Oktober hingga 13 Disember 2015 akan disalurkan bagi membeli kelengkapan sekolah seperti baju seragam, beg, stoking dan kasut sekolah untuk 400 orang kanak-kanak yang mungkin lebih kerap tidak menghadirkan diri ke sekolah disebabkan oleh kekurangan kelengkapan sekolah untuk digunakan sepanjang tempoh persekolahan.


Dengan kenaikan kos barangan keperluan sekolah, kempen ini berhasrat untuk mengumpul lebih daripada RM40,000 yang memberi manfaat kepada 400 orang anak yatim berusia 7 hingga 17 tahun daripada 18 buah rumah kebajikan di seluruh negara.

Di majlis pelancaran Cerahi Kehidupan Bersama TOP & MYDIN, Yang Berhormat Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, Timbalan Menteri, Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat seronok dengan persembahan yang dilakukan oleh kanak-kanak dari RACTAR dan Rumah KIDS


Kempen mengumpul dana ini bermula daripada satu kaji selidik ringkas yang dijalankan oleh TOP mengenai keperluan serta-merta yang melibatkan sejumlah rumah kebajikan. Kaji selidik itu juga selari dengan konsep jenama TOP yang menggalakkan gaya hidup bersih sejak dari usia muda.

Memahami keadaan kebanyakan kanak-kanak kurang bernasib baik yang sukar untuk mendapatkan pakaian bersih berbanding orang lain, jenama pencuci pakaian No. 1 di Malaysia¹, TOP telah menganjurkan kempen mengumpul dana ‘Cerahi Kehidupan Bersama TOP dan MYDIN’.

Wanna go Legoland & Sanrio Hello Kitty?

School holiday weeks away, so have you got plan for this year? Yeah since the RM is smaller value so decision is tough better just travel in Malaysia. Tourism in Malaysia, I missed Kuching, Sarawak. Few years back not go there.

My children love Legoland, somehow we still saving money to go. Well it will take time to do that as son's kindergarten has decided to increase RM100 next year each month. Yeah monthly payment of RM430 instead of RM330. Last time my eldest son study another kindergarten only RM280 but then same it keep increasing.

Hello Kitty is one of my favourite, happy to see there's roadshow happening soon. Do click on the link to find out. I think it's a dream come true if children and adults get their dream comes true.

Johor has a UK farm I read so much about it but haven't got any plan to go there. I want to plan it but seem easy to say, not easy to do.

Balik kampung gunting rambut

Kita balik kampung Jumaat lalu, hari Sabtu malam ada pasar malam. Pasar malam di Port Dickson hanya sekali sebulan.

Pada hari Sabtu pagi, kami bawa anak-anak untuk gunting rambut. Puan ini berniaga di rumah, jadi banyak pelanggan pergi cari dia gunting rambut. Tetapi bukan semua orang mahu dia gunting sebab kalau banyak orang menunggu dia akan cepat cepat siap mengunting rambut.

Style yang cepat akan menjadi tak berapa elok.

Penyakit kardiovaskular kekal menjadi salah satu penyakit kronik paling berbahaya di negara maju dan negara membangun. Di peringkat global, dianggarkan seramai 17.3 juta orang mati akibat penyakit kardiovaskular (CVD) pada tahun 2008 sahaja. Menjelang tahun 2030, angka itu dijangka meningkat kepada 23.6 juta1 setahun. Walaupun kes CVD telah menurun di negara maju, trend itu bagaimanapun terus meningkat di negara-negara membangun2.


Pada tahun 2010, sebanyak 25.4% (11,812) kematian dicatatkan di hospital-hospital kerajaan akibat penyakit kardiovaskular. Ia juga dianggap sebagai punca utama kematian pramatang, dengan hampir 35% kematian akibat CVD berlaku pada individu berusia bawah 60 tahun3.


Penyakit kardiovaskluar dijangka menjadi satu kebimbangan utama dalam kalangan negara membangun sewaktu transisinya ke arah mencapai status negara maju. Transisi itu mungkin memberi impak besar kepada aspek kesihatan mereka daripada kumpulan sosio ekonomi rendah.

Malaysia disifatkan sebagai sebuah negara membangun dengan lebih 8,000 pesakit jantung yang baru dilaporkan setiap hari. Ia merangkumi 35% peratus kematian dalam kalangan individu berusia bawah 60 tahun4.


Menyedari tentang perlunya kesedaran serta pendidikan mengenai CVD dan bantuan kewangan untuk para pesakit yang tidak berkemampuan, Antabax, jenama yang menjadi kebanggaan rakyat Malaysia telah bekerjasama dengan 99 SPEEDMART, cawangan pasar raya mini terbesar di Malaysia dalam satu kempen mengumpul dana untuk membantu Yayasan Institut Jantung Negara (IJN).


Yayasan IJN merupakan sebuah organisasi tidak berasaskan keuntungan dengan misi untuk memberi sokongan kewangan kepada Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) dalam usaha memberi rawatan kepada pesakit daripada golongan berpendapatan rendah. Tahun ini, Yayasan IJN menyambut ulang tahun yang ke-20.


Kempen mengumpul dana kebajikan ‘Have A Heart, Save A Life bersama Antabax & 99 SPEEDMART’ telah dilancarkan di sini pada hari ini.


Kempen yang berlangsung mulai 1 September hingga 30 November 2015 ini menyaksikan 5% daripada hasil jualan sebarang rangkaian produk penjagaan diri anti bakteria daripada cawangan 99 SPEEDMART seluruh Negara akan disalurkan ke Yayasan IJN untuk menyokong Program Bantuan Pesakit mereka.


Antabax telah mengadakan pelbagai kempen CSR untuk menyumbang kembali kepada rakyat Malaysia. Sejak kempen CSR pertamanya pada tahun 2009, Antabax telah menyumbang lebih RM1 juta dalam bentuk tunai dan produk kepada pelbagai organisasi.

Bhd, Angeline Sim berkata, “Peningkatan kos sara hidup turut memberi impak kepada kos rawatan jantung. Para pesakit daripada golongan berpendapatan rendah sering berdepan masalah untuk membayar rawatan yang biasanya mampu menyelamatkan nyawa mereka. Walaupun dana yang kami kumpul menerusi kolaborasi ini mungkin tidak cukup untuk membantu semua orang, namun jika ia dapat meringankan beban seorang pesakit, itu sudah boleh diangap sebagai satu pencapaian.”


Tambahnya lagi, langkah pertama yang perlu diambil oleh orang ramai adalah dari segi pendidikan dan kesedaran mengenai penyakit jantung serta faktor-faktor risikonya.

Tetapi dengan kesibukan harian, mencari masa untuk kekal sihat bukanlah mudah. Apa pun, kita tetap perlu mengulang mesej ini sehinggalah ia difahami sepenuhnya,” kata Angeline.

Lee Thiam Wah pernah diserang penyakit polio ketika berusia lapan bulan. Ibu dan bapa beliau bukanlah daripada keluarga kaya. Bapa beliau seorang buruh binaan dan ibu pula penjaja. Tetapi mereka tidak mengabaikan beliau. Sebaliknya, mereka menyediakan apa yang mereka mampu untuk membolehkan beliau menjadi yang terbaik.


“Saya faham perasaan anak-anak yang mengalami masalah jantung yang serius kerana mereka juga mempunyai potensi besar seperti anda dan saya. Kita harus bekerjasama memberi peluang kepada mereka menjalani kehidupan yang panjang dan penuh bermakna. Jadi, mereka boleh meneroka laluan hidup yang masih belum ditempuh untuk menjadi pemimpin, doktor, pemikir dan banyak lagi pada masa depan.


“Oleh kerana itulah kami berbesar hati untuk bekerjasama dengan Antabax. Sebagai satu jenama kegemaran rakyat Malaysia seperti 99SPEEDMART, ia telah banyak memberi sumbangan kepada masyarakat menerusi kempen CSR mereka selama ini,” katanya.

Kebanyakan dana yang diterima datang daripada pihak koporat dan penderma individu. Memandangkan penyakit kardiovaskular merupakan antara punca kematian utama di Malaysia, dana sebegini amat penting untuk membantu lebih ramai pesakit kerana ia mampu menyelamatkan lebih banyak nyawa pada masa depan
Antabax juga akan memberikan kit penjagaan diri kepada kepada semua pesakit Institut Jantung Negara selama tiga bulan.

I had a fall in Restaurant

Today I have a great fall in the event I attended at Ruyi Restaurant Lounge, I went to ladies restroom and up the staircase to the restroom near the entrance of the restaurant. After getting in, then coming out I open the restroom door I didn't notice a step ahead of me, once I step down I fall down.

Fall down on both my knees and left hand holding the wall.
For your info the wall outside the restroom is black.
Even the ceiling of the restaurant, its all in black.
The brightness in the restroom, then the darkness outside of it.

Lucky I wearing flat shoes not heels. I was wearing the shoes that fit my bunion. Imagine if I were wearing heels I would be suffering more pain. Now I have my right bunion pain :(

The event was in afternoon 2.45pm to 5pm.

It's my first time to watch Nora Danish and Qi Razali act together.

Qi Razali acted in KL Zombi I saw this movie with my dear at the cinema. It's my first time to watch him in acting, that's the first movie I saw.
